Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION
be pleased to state:-
(a) whether there is any provision for reward or penalty in cases where
individuals provide true or false information regarding problems in flights
and if so, the details thereof; and
(b) whether the Government is considering any proposal to increase the
amount of reward for genuine alerts and penalty for false or mischievous
information and if so, the details thereof?

(a): There is no provision for rewards. However, the Suppression of Unlawful
Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act, 1982 (SUASCA Act) and the
Aircraft Security Rules, 2023 (ASR) do provide for penalty/punishment for
providing false communication regarding problems in flights.
(b): There is no such proposal under consideration of the Government at
present.
