SHRIKALIPADASAREN KHERWAL: Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFARE be pleasedtostate: (a) the amount of funds allocated, released and utilised under the National Health Mission (NHM) during the last five years, State/UT-wise andyear-wise; and (b) the details of the pending dues under the National Health Mission during the last five years, State/UT-wise andyear-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (b): With the objective of attainment of universal access to equitable, affordable and quality health care services, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) is implementing National Health Mission (NHM). Government provides technical and financial support to the States/UTs for improvement in health infrastructure, availability of adequate human resources to health facilities, to improve availability and accessibility to quality health care especially for the underserved and marginalized groups. The details of State/UT-wise Central Release and Expenditure under the National HealthMission (NHM) from F.Y. 2020-21 toF.Y.2024-25 isat Annexure. Further, Public Health, is a State subject hence the primary responsibility of providing basic health services to all citizens of the country lies with the respective States/UTs Government. The proposals from State/UT Governments are received in the form of Programme Implementation Plans (PIPs) under NHM and Government of India provides approval for the proposals in the form of Record of Proceedings(RoPs) aspernorms & available resources.
