ALTERNATE DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISMS IN WARANGAL
5577. DR. KADIYAM KAVYA:
Will the Minister of LAW AND JUSTICE be pleased to state:
(a) whether Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, including Lok Adalats,
Permanent Lok Adalats and Mediation Centres, have been strengthened in Warangal district of
Telangana during the last three years, if so, the details thereof;
(b) the number of Lok Adalats conducted in Warangal during the last three years, along with
the total number of cases referred, settled and the value of settlements achieved, year-wise;
(c) whether any additional judicial infrastructure, mediation facilities or digital platforms have
been introduced in Warangal to expedite dispute resolution, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the awareness and outreach initiatives undertaken to promote ADR mechanisms among
citizens, litigants and legal practitioners in Warangal district?

(a) to (d): Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, including Lok Adalats,
Permanent Lok Adalats and Mediation Centres, have been significantly strengthened in
Warangal District of Telangana State. The Government has taken several steps to strengthen
infrastructure and expedite dispute resolution in Warangal District, including establishment of
Mediation Centres in court premises, introduction of virtual/online Lok Adalats, establishment
of six (06) Community Mediation Centres for resolving conflicts and promoting harmony and
deployment of dedicated trained mediators and panel advocates. The details of Lok Adalats
conducted in Warangal District during the last three years are as follows:No. of Lok

Further, awareness and outreach programmes are being organized every month by the District
Legal Services Authority in the Warangal district including programmes related to various
schemes of the National Legal Services Authority. A Mobile Van has also been provided to
District Legal Services Authority, Warangal for conducting Legal Awareness Camps in
remote/agency villages.
