SHRI NABA CHARAN MAJHI: SHRI GODAM NAGESH: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) the details of the stations approved under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) till date, State-wise particularly in the States of Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand and in the Shahdol and Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituencies; (b) the total expenditure incurred so far under ABSS and the estimated budgetary requirement for completion of the projects related to all the approved stations; (c) the details of the master plans formulated for the said stations and the major updates/changes incorporated to the said plan during the year 2024-25; (d) the details of the number of the stations where physical work has been started, completed and are in pre-construction stage, status-wise;(e) whether the redevelopment under ABSS is likely to increase passenger handling capacity, commercial revenue and local employment and if so, the expected quantitative outcomes thereof; (f) the number of stations selected/covered under the said scheme in Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency; and (g) the time by which the said work is likely to be completed in the said Constituencies along with the status of work? The scheme involves preparation of master plans and their implementation in phases to improve the stations. The master planning includes:  Improvement of access to station and circulating areas  Integration of station with both sides of city  Improvement of station building  Improvement of waiting halls, toilets, sitting arrangement, water booths  Provision of wider foot over bridge/air concourse commensurate with passenger traffic  Provision of lift/escalators/ramp  Improvement /Provision of platform surface and cover over platforms  Provision of kiosks for local products through schemes like ‘One Station One Product’  Parking areas, Multimodal integration  Amenities for Divyangjans  Better passenger information systems  Provision of executive lounges, nominated spaces for business meetings, landscaping, etc. keeping in view the necessity at each station.The scheme also envisages sustainable and environment friendly solutions, provision of ballastless tracks etc. as per necessity, phasing and feasibility and creation of city centre at the station in the long term. Development of stations into city centres envisages enhanced economic activities at and around the stations apart from improved travel experience. So far, 1,337 stations have been identified for development under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Out of these, 04 stations are located in Jammu and Kashmir, 57 stations are located in Jharkhand and 80 stations are located in Madhya Pradesh. These include Anuppur, Bijuri, Shahdol and Umaria stations situated in Shahdol Lok Sabha Constituency and Bargawan, Beohari and Singrauli stations situated in Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency. Good progress has been achieved at the stations where works have been taken up and progress of some of these stations is given below: Jammu and Kashmir:  Budgam station: The works of improvement of circulating area, parking and approach roads have been completed. The works of porch, platform surfacing, platform shelter, waiting room, toilet, booking office, Passenger Reservation System office, executive lounge, retiring rooms, lifts and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.  Jammu Tawi station: The works of station building at second entry, Government Railway Police building and 12 m Foot Over Bridge at Katra end have been completed. The works ofplatform no. 4/5 and6/7, 72 m air concourse, development towards second entry and 12 m Foot Over Bridge at Delhi end have been taken up.  Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan station: The works of improvement of station building, porch, waiting room, toilet, circulating area, parking, approach roads, lighting and signage have been completed. The works of entry/exit gates, platform shelter and platform surfacing at platform no. 4/5, lifts, escalators and 6 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. Jharkhand:  Muri Junction station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, new waiting hall, approach road, circulating area, parking area, Divyangjan facilities, station lighting and signage have been completed. The finishing works have been taken up.  Orga station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, approach road and station lighting have been completed. The works of platform surfacing, parking and Divyangjan facilities have been taken up.  Bano station: The works of improvement of station building, circulating area, approach road and Divyangjan facilities have been completed. The works of platform shelter, platform surfacing and Divyangjan facilities for Foot Over Bridge ramp, toilet and drinking water booth have been taken up. Gangaghat station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, approach road and circulating area have been completed. The works of Foot Over Bridge ramp and Divyangjan facilities have been taken up. Shahdol Lok Sabha Constituency:  Anuppur station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, concourse, platform shelter, raising of platform, entry/exit gate, improvement of circulating area, parking, Divyangjan facilities, signages and train indication board have been completed. The works of improvement of waiting hall, ticket counter and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.  Bijuri station: The works of improvement to station building, concourse, porch, improvement of toilet, waiting hall, circulating area, parking, Divyangjan facilities and signages have been taken up.  Shahdol station: The works of improvement of station building, porch, platform shelter, improvement of circulating area, parking area and Divyangjan facilities have been completed. The works of improvement of waiting hall, entry/exit gate and 12m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.  Umaria station: The works of improvement to the station building, entrance porch, platform shelter, platform surfacing, improvement of waiting hall, circulating area, Divyangjanfacilities and signages have been completed. The work of 12m Foot Over Bridge has been taken up. At Bargawan station of Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency, the works platform shelter and improvement of entrance porch have been completed. The works of improvement of station building, waiting halls, toilet, circulating area, parking, Divyangjan facilities, signages, lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. Further development / redevelopment / upgradation / modernisation of stations on Indian Railways is a continuous and ongoing process and works in this regard are undertaken as per requirement, subject to inter-se priority and availability of funds. The priority for development / redevelopment / upgradation / modernisation of stations is accorded to higher category of station over lower category of station while sanctioning and executing the works. Master Planning is an iterative process requiring optimization and the time frame and other details for such optimization cannot be indicated at this stage. Further, development / upgradation / modernization of stations including Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is generally funded under Plan Head–53 ‘Customer Amenities’. The details of allocation and expenditure under Plan Head–53 are maintained Zonal Railway-wise and not work-wise or station-wise or state-wise. The fund allocation of ₹ 12,118 crore has been made for the financial year 2025-26 under Plan Head–53 and expenditure (up to October, 2025) of ₹7,253 crore has been incurred so far.Development / Upgradation of railway stations is complex in nature involving safety of passengers & trains and requires various statutory clearances such as fire clearance, heritage, tree cutting, airport clearance etc. The progress also gets affected due to brownfield related challenges such as shifting of utilities (involving water/sewage lines, optical fibre cables, gas pipe lines, power/signal cables, etc.), infringements, operation of trains without hindering passenger movement, speed restrictions due to works carried out in close proximity of tracks and high voltage power lines, etc. and these factors affect the completion time. Therefore, no time frame can be indicated at this stage. *****
