(a) whether the Government of Telangana has sent proposals for
sanction of Rural houses tothe State under

details thereof andthe action taken thereon;
(b) whether it is also a fact that the State has not availed any
sanctions under PMAY-G duringlast ten years, if so, the details
thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether it is also a fact that as per Ministry’s request, survey
and super check is alsocompleted in Awas plus App for 11.56
lakh houses by the State, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) whether the State requested Union Government to sanction
three lakh houses for 2025-26immediately and requested to
release financial assistance, if so, the details thereof and the
actiontaken thereon along with funds sanctioned and spent in
Telangana, till now?

(a) to (d): Yes, the Ministry of Rural Development has received
proposals from the State Government of Telangana requesting for
allocation of targets under the Pradhan MantriAwaasYojana-Gramin
(PMAY-G). The proposals have been duly examined in the Ministry,
and replies have been furnished to the State. The Ministry of Rural
Development has not allocated any target to the State of Telangana
under the PMAY-G, at present, due to the reasons given in
succeding paras.

MantriAwaasYojanaGramin (PMAY-G) and an amount of Rs. 190.79
crores were also released as 1st installment of Central Share
against the targets of FY 2016-17 for implementation of the scheme.
However, the State of Telangana did not implement the PMAY-G
Scheme and refunded the amount of Rs. 190.79 crores to the
Government of India. Also, the State had not conducted the Awaas +
2018 survey during January 2018 to March 2019 and hence eligible
households under PMAY-G in the State could not be identified. Thus,
no targets could be allocated to the State.
Further, Government of Telangana has communicated its
willingness to implement PMAY-G in the State during the FY 2024-
25. The Ministry has facilitated the State in the conduct of Awaas +
2024 survey for identification of potential eligible rural households
under PMAY-G using Awaas+ 2024 Mobile application. The
household survey has been completed in the State and 11,56,929
households have been surveyed in the State including 59 Self-
Survey cases.
At present all the States/UTs including Telangana, are
conducting corroboration of Self-survey cases, verification of survey
cases flagged by the System and deletion of ineligible households
as per the guidelines issued by this Ministry and modules provided
in AwaasSoft Management Information System (MIS) and Awaas+
2024 Mobile Application. All the activities including corroboration of
Self-survey cases, verification of survey cases through Checker
Module and deletion of ineligible beneficiaries through Deletion
Module needs to be completed prior to preparation of Panchayat-
wise System Generated Priority lists from the Awaas + 2024
household survey. Thereafter the procedure prescribed in the
existing Framework for Implementation (FFI) of PMAY-G is to be
followed for finalization of the Permanent Wait List (PWL) by
organizing Gram Sabha meetings and completion of the Appellate
process. Thus, the State of Telangana is not eligible for target
allocation under the PMAY-G at present.
