Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to
state:
(a)whether the Government has operationalised the Building and Other
Construction Workers (BOCW) MIS Portal in Maharashtra and if so, the
details thereof;
(b)whether the Government is aware of frequent technical glitches in
the BoCW MIS Portal that cause delays in registration and renewal of
workers' applications and if so, the details of complaints received
regarding such issues in Maharashtra since the launch of portal and
remedial measures taken thereon;
(c)whether lack of language options, digital literacy, or internet access
has affected the registration process under the portal and if so, the
corrective steps taken in this regard;
(d)whether there is a mechanism developed by the Government to track
and publicly display the status of welfare benefits disbursed to the
registered workers through the BOCW MIS Portal and if so, the details
thereof;
(e) whether reports of non-disbursement or diversion of funds despite
portal entries have been investigated; and
(f)if so, the number of such cases reported during the last three years in
Maharashtra?

(a) to (f): The Building and Other Construction Workers Management
Information System (BOCW MIS) Portal has been launched by the Central
Government on 21st August 2024. The portal is designed to track and
monitor the data uploaded by the respective States/UTs relating to

construction of schools for the wards of building workers from cess fund,
etc.
The details of expenditure incurred on functioning of the
Board are maintained by the respective State BOCW Welfare Board.
