SMT.JUNE MALIAH: Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFAREbe pleasedtostate: (a)the numberof cervicalcancer deathsinthe countryduring the last elevenyears, yearwise; (b) the screening rate of cervical cancerduring the last elevenyears, year-wise; (c) the amount of funds (in Rs.) released for the screening cancer from 2019 to 2025, yearwise; and (d) the reasons for not includingthe HPVvaccineinIndia’sfree vaccinationprogramme? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a): As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - National Cancer Registry Programme(NCRP) data,the estimated numberof mortalityof CervicalCancerduring 2014-2023 inthe country, State/UTwise isasperAnnexure I. (b): A population-based initiative for prevention, control and screening for common Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) including cervical cancer has been rolled out in the country under National Health Mission (NHM) as a part of Comprehensive Primary Health Care. Under the initiative, persons more than 30 years of age are targeted for their screening.
