Will the Minister of TOURISM be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the Capacity Building for Service Providers (CBSP)
scheme launched by the Government along with the training
programme such as short term skill certification training programme
and the total number of individuals trained under this scheme since
its inception, State/UT-wise including Chhattisgarh and district-wise
in Andhra Pradesh;
(b) the details of the funds sanctioned and released under the said
scheme, State/UT-wise including Andhra Pradesh during the last five
years;
(c) the details of the implementing agencies/institutes selected to
impart such training, State/UT-wise;
(d) the details of the employment rate or entrepreneurial outcomes of
individuals/students trained under these schemes in the rural
tourism sector along with employment generating agencies,
State/UT-wise since its inception and the list of all implementation
agencies and institutes in Chhattisgarh;
(e) the details of the candidates who have received scholarship under
the said scheme and the amount of funds incurred thereon, State/UT-
wise;
(f) the details of the women and youth from backward and tribal areas
are getting proper access to these training programme; and(g) the details of the special capacity building training programme of 3-6
months duration to promote rural tourism in villages along with the
number of villages benefited, State/UT-wise including Chhattisgarh?
ANSWER

(a) to (g): The Ministry of Tourism conducts hospitality and tourism
related short-term training courses under its “Capacity Building for Service
Providers (CBSP)” scheme through Government and empanelled private
institutes. These programmes includes Hunar Se Rozgar Tak,
Entrepreneurship Programme, Skill Testing & Certification, Tourism
Awareness Programme, etc.
As per the information available, a total of 5.54 lakh individuals have been
trained in the country including 1272 candidates in Andhra Pradesh and
770 candidates in Chhattisgarh respectively.
For these trainings, a total of Rs.106.26 crore has been sanctioned and
released from 2019-20 to 2023-24 in the country and Rs.5.51 Lakh in
Andhra Pradesh during the same period.
In the year 2023-24, a total of 153 Government and private agencies were
selected to impart trainings, in various parts of the country including
Chhattisgarh.
The outcome of these trainings includes placements, self-employment,
entrepreneurship, in addition to many trainees opting for higher studies
such as diploma and degree courses. Since inception 59210 persons have
been placed. The scheme does not have provision for scholarship.
However, regular hospitality and tourism skill training programmes have
been organized catering to candidates from diverse group including rural
areas of the country. Villages wise Data is not collected and maintained in
the Ministry.
