ON 21.08.2025 REGARDING "CHANGE OF NAME OF COIMBATORE
AIRPORT" BY THIRU THANGA TAMILSELVAN AND DR.
GANAPATHY RAJKUMAR P.; ; (a) to (c): In general, the Airports are known
by the name of city where they are located, unless another specific name is
proposed by the respective State Government supported by a Resolution passed
in the State Legislative Assembly, which is then considered in consultation with
other Ministries/ Departments and then sent to the Union Cabinet for final
approval. No such proposal to rename Coimbatore Airport has been received
from the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
