3. Development of Basic Amenities at Papnash Temple, Bidar district, sanctioned in 2024-25 with an allocation of Rs. 22.25 Crore.

Will the Minister of TOURISM be pleased to state:
(a) the details of budget allocated and utilized for the development of
Deval Ganagapur Dattatreya Temple in Kalaburagi under the
Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive
(PRASAD) Scheme;
(b) whether the Government has received a proposal for the
development of the Deval Ganagapur Dattatreya Temple under the
PRASAD Scheme;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the details of the steps taken by the Government of expedite the
approval of the proposal considering the cultural and religious
significance of the temple?

THE MINISTER OF TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT)
(a) to (d): The Ministry of Tourism under its Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and
Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) Scheme aims to
develop infrastructure at identified religious and heritage sites across
the country including Karnataka.
Proposals are received from States/UTs from time to time for
seeking financial assistance under the various schemes of the Ministry
of tourism. These proposals are examined in context of the schemes
guidelines and financial assistance is extended for projects subject to
fulfillment of the stipulated provisions and availability of funds.The Ministry of Tourism has received a concept proposal from the
State Government of Karnataka regarding development of Shri
Dattatreya Temple, Ganagapura, Afzalpura taluk, Kalaburagi District in
Karnataka under PRASHAD Scheme in October 2024 at an estimated
cost of Rs.83.52 Crore. The said proposal has not been considered due to
budget constraints.
However, three projects have been sanctioned in Karnataka under
the PRASHAD Scheme the details of which are given in the Annexure.
