(a) the details of the tourism corridors constructed under Swadesh

(b) the status of the proposed synergy between Central and State
schemes, State-wise;
(c) the details of the total number of proposed and approved corridors
for promotion of tourism in the country, project-wise;
(d) the status of Krishna Circuit proposed under the said corridor along
with the timeline for completion of the said projects; and
(e) whether there is any plan to include the holy place of Sanwalia Seth
Temple at Mandfiya village in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan in the
Krishna Circuit?

THE MINISTER OF TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT)
(a) to (e): Development and promotion of tourist destinations and tourism
products is primarily undertaken by the respective State Government/
Union Territory (UT) Administration. However, the Ministry of Tourism
complements the efforts of tourism infrastructure development through its
central sector schemes of ‘Swadesh Darshan (SD)’, ‘Swadesh Darshan 2.0
(SD2.0)’, ‘Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD)’ – a sub-
scheme of Swadesh Darshan, by extending financial assistance to the
State Governments/UT Administrations including the state of Rajasthan.
Assistance is extended based on proposals received from States/UT
Administrations, subject to availability of funds, submission of Detailed
Project Reports (DPRs) by the State/UT, adherence to scheme guidelines,
utilization of funds released earlier etc.Under the SD Scheme, launched in 2014–15, 15 thematic circuits
were identified for development. Among them, the Krishna Circuit was one
of the key theme. Further, Ministry of Tourism sanctioned spiritual circuit
in Rajasthan (2016-17) which includes development of Sanwaliyaji in
Chittorgarh. The details of the circuits sanctioned under Swadesh Darshan
Scheme in the country including in the state of Rajasthan along-with
present status is annexed.
Ministry of Tourism revamped the Swadesh Darshan scheme as
Swadesh Darshan 2.0 with the objective to develop sustainable and
responsible tourism destinations in the country, adopting a destination-
and tourist-centric approach in place of the earlier circuit-based
framework.
Ministry of Tourism as part of its ongoing endeavour, promotes
various tourism destinations and products of India in a holistic manner,
through various initiatives including promotional events, assistance to
State Governments for organising fairs and festivals, participation in
exhibitions, websites, social media, etc.
