Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the funds allocated, released and pending to West Bengal under the Jal Jeevan
Mission (JJM) since its inception, year-wise;
(b) the total funds demanded by the State Government of West Bengal through its Annual Action
Plans (AAPs) for each financial year; and
(c) the timeline proposed by the Union Government for disbursing the pending funds to the said
State?

(a) to (c) Union Cabinet had approved the Jal Jeevan Mission for the period from 2019-20 to
2023-24 with Central outlay of Rs. 2,08,652 Crore and during the approved Mission Period,
Department had utilized Rs.1,85,958 Crore leaving a balance of Rs. 22,694 Crore for utilization
in 2024-25. Further, with the concurrence of Department of Expenditure the extension of period
of utilization of remaining fund till 31.03.2025 was given and almost entire available fund was
utilized in 2024-25. During the period from 2019-20 to 2024-25, an amount of Rs.13,027.84
crore was released as Central share to the State of West Bengal.
The funds under JJM is allocated to all States/UTs as per approved criteria as mentioned in the
operational guideline of JJM. The year-wise details of fund allocated, release and expenditure
(Central + State) incurred by the State of West Bengal is as under:
