(a) the number of rural habitations in Andhra Pradesh yet to receive 55 litres per capita per day of
safe drinking water under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) as on 30 June, 2025, district-wise;
(b) the number of habitations not certified as Open-Defecation-Free or requiring rehabilitation
of sanitation assets under the Swachh Bharat Mission -Grameen;
(c) the details of the total Central funds released and utilised for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
(WASH) infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh during the financial years 2023–24 and 2024–25,
component-wise; and
(d) whether the Government has fixed any timelines or performance targets for Andhra Pradesh
to achieve full WASH coverage and if so, the details thereof?

(a) Government of India in partnership with States is implementing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)
– Har Ghar Jal to make provision of potable water to every rural household of the country,
through functional tap water connection i.e. at a service level of 55 litre per capita per day
(lpcd), of prescribed quality (BIS:10500), on regular and long-term basis. Progress has been
substantial: starting from 3.24 crore (16.71%) connections in August 2019, the number has
surged to over 15.76 crore (81.39%) households as of December 8, 2025, providing water
supply to the majority of rural India. As on date, around 71.06 lakh (74.39%) rural households
were reported to have tap water connection in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
As informed by State Government of Andhra Pradesh, the number of rural habitations in
Andhra Pradesh yet to receive 55 Litres per capita per day of safe drinking water under JJM
as on 30 June, 2025, district wise is at Annexure.
(b) As per data recorded by State of Andhra Pradesh on Integrated Management Information
System (IMIS) of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen)[SBM(G)] as on 08.12.2025, out of
15995 villages in Andhra Pradesh, 10265 villages have been declared Open Defecation Free
(ODF) Plus Model under SBM(G) Phase-II. Hence 5730 villages are yet be declared Open
Defecation Free (ODF) Plus Model.

(d) As informed by State Government, Andhra Pradesh has fixed timeline for achieving all
villages to make ODF plus model villages with ensuring full coverage of sanitation, Solid and
Liquid Waste Management (SWM and LWM) arrangement by March’ 2026 and achieving
full FHTC coverage to all household by December, 2028.
