DR. RAJKUMAR SANGWAN: Will the Minister of HEALTHAND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleased tostate: (a) the number of people who have been benefited so far in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh underthe Ayushman Bharat Scheme; (b) the numberof hospitals empanelled inBaghpat underthisscheme; (c) whether there is any plan to improve the health facilities in rural areas of Baghpat, if so, the detailsthereof; (d) the steps taken by the Government to address the shortage of doctors and nurses in the said district; and (e) whether a health awareness campaign hasbeen launchedin the said district recently, if so, the detailsthereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATEIN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAOJADHAV) (a): As on 28.02.2026, a total of 3.95 lakh Ayushman cards have been created and 0.78 lakh beneficiaries have availed treatment under Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)inBaghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. (b): As on 28.02.2026, a total number of 38 hospitals are empanelled under AB-PMJAY in BaghpatdistrictofUttarPradesh,thatincludes17publicand21privatehospitals. (c) to (e): As per the “Health Dynamics of India 2022-23”, details of health facilities functioning in the rural / urban areas of the country across all the States/ UTs with available resources, canbe accessed at the following link: https://mohfw.gov.in/sites/default/files/Health%20Dynamics%20of%20India%20%28Infrastr ucture%20%26%20Human%20Resources%29%202022-23_RE%20%281%29.pdfThe Government of India is supporting the States/UTs, including the State of Uttar Pradesh, for enhancing the healthcare facilities through need-based funding and assistance. The existing Sub Health Centers and Primary Health Centers are upgraded to Ayushman Arogya Mandir in order to deliver affordable, equitable and quality health services to all people. Further, to address human resources, under National Health Mission, different type of incentives and honorarium are provided to doctors and multi-skilling of doctors is supported toovercome shortage of specialists. The Government of India has taken various initiatives to create awareness among the masses in rural and remote areas, in collaboration with States/UTs. Information, Education & Communication activities include use of short videos, brochures, pamphlets etc. in local languages and to disseminate information about various healthcare services through social media platforms. *****
