GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2336 TO BE ANSWERED ON 12.03.2026 EMPLOYMENT UNDER PMVBRY 2336. SHRI GOLLA BABURAO: Will the Minister of Labour and Employment be pleased to state: (a) the aims and objectives of PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) and the extent to which it helps to promote employment generation, increase employability and strengthen social security; (b) whether it is a fact that nearly 11,500 establishments have been registered under PMVBRY from Andhra Pradesh; (c) if so, number of employment opportunities so far provided by these establishments and whether any target has been given to above establishments about employing people; and (d) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) to (d): The Union Cabinet, on 1 July 2025, approved the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, titled the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY), to promote employment generation, enhance employability, and strengthen social security across all sectors, with a particular focus on the manufacturing sector. The scheme was launched on 15th August 2025. The scheme has a registration period of two years from 01.08.2025 to 31.07.2027 and a budgetary outlay of ₹99,446 Crore. The scheme aims to incentivise creation of more than 3.5 Crore jobs all across the country, over a period of 2 years. The scheme comprises of two parts i.e. Part A and Part B and focuses on providing support to both employees and employers by way of incentives. The scheme provides for incentives for 1.92 crore new eligible employees under Part A. Incentive for creation of approx. 2.59 crore additional jobs to employers is provided for under Part B of the scheme. Contd..2/-:: 2 :: As on 03.03.2026, a total of 12,943 establishments have been registered under PMVBRY in the state of Andhra Pradesh. There is no state-wise target under PMVBRY. However, as on 03.03.2026, these registered establishments have employed a total 1.29 Lakhs First Timers and 2.48 Lakhs Re-Joinees. *****
