SHRI MAGUNTA SREENIVASULU REDDY: Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state: (a)the details of the total number of Employees' State Insurance (ESI) Hospitals proposed, under construction/expansion and presently functioning in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise; (b)the details of the total fund allocated, released and utilised over the last five years for ESI Hospitals in Andhra Pradesh, district- wise; (c)the positions sanctioned, filled and presently vacant in each ESI Hospital in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise; (d)the details of the total patient footfall at each ESI hospital in Andhra Pradesh over the last five years, district-wise; and (e)whether any periodic surveys of ESI hospitals have been conducted for upgradation of existing medical technology and instruments utilised/conduced, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): The details of Employees' State Insurance (ESI) Hospitals proposed, under construction / expansion and presently functional in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise, is at Annexure -I. (b) to (d): For making adequate provisions of medical services to ESI beneficiaries, ESIC releases consolidated funds to State Government under ‘On Account’ payment. Separate hospital wise fund is not allocated by ESIC.
