Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to
state:
(a)the details of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)
hospitals which are running in the country, State-wise, including
Jharkhand;
(b)the details of the number of employees who are working in the said
hospitals in the country, State and hospital-wise; and
(c)whether any safety audit has been conducted in the said hospitals
on regular basis, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): There are 62 Employees’ State Insurance Corporation
(ESIC) hospitals which are directly run by ESIC in the country. Details
of such hospitals and number of the employees working in these
hospitals, State-wise, is annexed.
Structural audits of ESIC infrastructure are carried out for
all buildings that are 25 years old, and corrective measures are taken
based on the audit reports. In addition, fire safety audit system is in
place and an officer has been nominated to conduct regular fire drills
to prevent mishaps and ensure that all people are well acquainted
with fire safety procedures.
