District-wise details and disciplines covered in respect of KICs notified across the country, including in the State of Maharashtra, are available in public domain on the dashboard of the Ministry at https://dashboard.kheloindia.gov.in/state-wise-khelo-india- centers. (c) KICs are notified based on the proposals received from the State. No proposal has been received to open new KIC from the State of Maharashtra. (d) and (e) The number Khelo India Athletes (KIAs) identified from Maharashtra under the Khelo India Scheme during the last three years who are provided with training, coaching, and financial assistance are as under: 2022-23 2023-24 2024-25 365 347 325 (f) Maharashtra has shown significant progress and strong participation in both the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) and Khelo India School Games (KISG). In the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG), which is part of the larger Khelo India initiative, Maharashtra has consistently performed well. At the 7th KIYG (Patna, Bihar), Maharashtra topped the medal table with a total of 158 medals (58 gold, 47 silver, 53 bronze). They previously won in 2023 (Madhya Pradesh) and 2024 (Tamil Nadu), making it a hat trick of victories. Further, Maharashtra universities, including Savitribai Phule Pune University, Shivaji University, University of Mumbai, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, Bharati Vidyapeeth University (MH), Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, actively participated in the fourth edition of KIUG.
