ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT
(SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE)
(a) to (c): The Government is implementing the National Career Service
(NCS) project for transformation of the National Employment Service to
provide a variety of career related services like job search & matching,
career counselling, information on skill development courses,
employability assessment, employability enhancement training etc.
Under the NCS project 407 Model Career Centres (MCCs) have
been approved by the Government in collaboration with States/ UTs.
So far, 20 MCCs have been approved in the State of Bihar on the
basis of proposals received from the State Government. These centres
provide career related services such as organizing online/ offline job
fairs, mobilize the employers, provide online/ offline career counselling
at local level etc. in collaboration with State and other institutions to
the jobseekers (including youth) and employers through outreach
activities.
