Till date, establishment of 22 AIIMS have been approved under the Scheme. Government of Kerala has identified and proposed four sites at following locations for the establishment of AIIMS inthe State:(i) Kinaloor inKozhikode district (ii)Kattakada Taluk in Thiruvananthapuram district (iii) Kottayam district (iv) Ernakulam district.
