Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has received any proposal to set up a football
academy in Chhindwara under the Khelo India Scheme to ensure
opportunities to the tribal sporting talent of the district; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) and (b) Under the Khelo India Scheme, proposals received from the
State/UT Governments and other eligible entities are considered for
financial support, subject to their completeness, technical feasibility, and
availability of funds under the Scheme. However, no proposal has been
received for setting up the said academy in Chhindwara.
