MANOJ KUMAR JHA: Will the Ministerof HEALTH & FAMILYWELFAREbe please tostate: (a)the expenditure incurred byCentral Autonomous Medical Institutes, includingvarious AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS, RIMS, NEIGRIHMS, CNCI andsimilar institutions, onmeetingsof theirStanding FinanceCommittees, Governing BodiesandPurchase Committees, including TA/DA,honorarium andalliedexpenses, during the last five financial yearsfrom 2020–21to2024–25,institute-wise andyear-wise;and (b) whether Government proposes torationalize or mergesuch committees toensure economyandefficiency inexpenditure andthe details thereof ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN MINISTRYOFHEALTH & FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) and (b) The Governing Body (GB) and the Standing Committee (SFC) of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS), Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) are constituted and their meetings are held as per the provisions contained in the respective Acts/Rules/Regulations/Memorandum-of- Association/Bye-laws under which these Institutions are set up. The expenditure incurred by each Institute for the conduct of the above meetings is contingent on the frequency, venue of the meeting, attendance of the members etc. The members of the Governing Body (GB) and the Standing Committee (SFC) are not entitled to any allowance or other remuneration except travelling and daily allowances for which they are eligible. There is no proposal to merge Institute-specific Governing Bodies andthe StandingCommitteesintoa single body. ******
