Parliament Question: Facilities for senior citizens and divyang passengers at airports in Odisha

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. : 1770 TO BE ANSWERED ON THE 9th March 2026 FACILITIES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AND DIVYANG PASSENGERS AT AIRPORTS IN ODISHA 1770. SMT SULATA DEO Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION be pleased to state:- (a) whether there is any proposal to introduce dedicated facilities for senior citizens and divyang passengers at airports in the State of Odisha; and (b) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION (Shri Murlidhar Mohol) (a) & (b): Dedicated facilities for Senior Citizens and Divyang passengers, in compliance with the Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for Civil Aviation, have been provided at various airports across Odisha. These facilities include accessible routes and approaches, signage, parking, building entrances with slope ramps, corridors, specialized washrooms and drinking water facilities. In addition, services such as Airline Assistants for escorting Senior Citizens and Divyang passengers up to the aircraft, as well as specialized lifts, are available at certain airports. Ambulift facilities are also provided at Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda Airports. ******
