S JOTHIMANI: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण मं(cid:287)ी be pleased to state: (a) the details and number of women led Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) supported under the 10,000 FPO Scheme, State-wise; (b) whether any zero or low-interest credit schemes specifically target women farmers and SHGs engaged in agricultural production and the extent of coverage, if so, the details thereof; and (c) the details of training, marketing and post-harvest support provided under schemes such as MKSP and PM-FME and the number of women farmers benefitted in Tamil Nadu during the last three years, particularly in Karur Lok Sabha constituency? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण रा(cid:207)य म(cid:287)ं ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR) (a): Under the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), the Board of Directors (BoD) of each FPO has at least one-woman member. (b): Under the Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs, a dedicated Credit Guarantee Fund (CGF) has been established to facilitate institutional credit access for FPOs, including women-led FPOs. 3,212 credit guarantees have been issued, covering 2,360 FPOs till 30.06.2025 with sanctioned loan amount of ₹708.26 crore and guarantee cover of ₹593.75 crore. (c): The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing the centrally sponsored Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME) Scheme. Under the said scheme, women farmers and SHG members in Tamil Nadu have received training, marketing, and post-harvest support through capacity-building programs, entrepreneurship development, seed capital assistance, and branding support. Under the PM-FME scheme, as of 30th June 2025, loans sanction are 8,989 amounting to ₹362.26 crore to women-led micro food processing enterprises in Tamil Nadu. These include 148 loans worth ₹79.13 crore in Karur district. Additionally, seed capital assistance has been provided to 29,542 SHG members across the state, of which 689 members in Karur received support amounting to ₹261.11 crore.
