(a) whether the Food Crafts Institute (FCI) and Institute of Hotel
Management (IHM), under the Government are currently providing
technical training to individuals for the hospitality industry, keeping
in view the need for professional expertise in specific occupations
related to the tourism industry;
(b) if so, the details thereof especially Uttar Pradesh, including the
Amroha Lok Sabha Constituency during the last three years;
(c) whether tourism-related training is being provided through the Indian
Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) under the
Government at various tourist locations in the country to encourage
individuals for business opportunities in the travel and tourism
industry; and
(d) if so, the details thereof in Uttar Pradesh, including the Amroha Lok
Sabha Constituency during the last three years?

(a) to (b): Yes, both the Food Crafts Institutes (FCIs) under the State
Governments/UT Administration and the Institutes of Hotel Management
(IHMs) under the Central/State Governments/UT Administration are
currently providing technical training to individuals for the hospitality
sector, with emphasis on meeting the professional expertise required for
various specialized occupations in the tourism industry.
• FCIs operate across multiple States/UTs as autonomous institutes,
under the aegis of the respective States/UTs and are affiliated with
the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology
(NCHMCT).• FCIs offer a wide range of technical and skill-based theoretical and
practical courses specifically tailored to hospitality and hotel
management professions. These courses consist of Diplomas in Food
Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation,
Housekeeping and Craftsmanship Certificate Courses. Training is
focused on creating skilled manpower for the hospitality industry.
• IHMs function as leading institutes for advanced hospitality
education and training under NCHMCT, with Central and State-level
institutions across India. They conduct undergraduate, postgraduate,
diploma and certificate programs in Hospitality and Hotel
Administration, Food Production, Accommodation Operations and
such other courses.
While there is no FCI or IHM physically located in Amroha district as
of now, students from Amroha can get enrolled at neighbouring institutes
like FCI Aligarh and IHM Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
