GOVERNMENTOFINDIA MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE DEPARTMENTOFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE LOK SABHA UNSTARREDQUESTION NO. 1031 TO BE ANSWERED ON24.07.2026 FILLING OFVACANTPOSTS 1031.SHRIJAI PRAKASH: Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFARE be pleased tostate: (a)the detailsof vacant posts of doctors, paramedicalstaff,andnursing posts inCentral Government hospitals, institution-wise, during the last three years, year-wise; (b) whether the Government hastaken anymeasures tofill these posts during the last three years; and (c)if so, the detailsthereof? ANSWER THE MINISTEROFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a): Details of sanctioned, filled and vacant posts of doctors, nursing staff, and paramedical staff during the last three years in the Central Government hospitals i.e. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital (VMMC & SJH), Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences& Dr.Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (ABVIMS &Dr.RMLH), LadyHardinge Medical College & Associated Hospitals (LHMC & Associated Hospitals), and Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Najafgarhare enclosedat Annexure. (b) & (c): Filling up of vacancies is a regular administrative exercise. To fill vacant positions in the Central Government hospitals, following steps have beentaken: i. Timely reporting of vacancies to Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to fill the posts of doctors. ii. Filling up of posts of Nursing Officer twice a year through Nursing Officer RecruitmentCommon Eligibility Test(NORCET). iii.
