Financial Assistance and Training Facilities for the Players of Chhattisgarh

Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of players provided training and assistance at the
National and International levels under the Khelo India Scheme;
(b) the details of the training imparted and assistance provided to the
players in various States under the said scheme;
(c) the details of the training facilities and financial assistance provided to
the players of Chhattisgarh till date under the said scheme;
(d) the steps taken/being taken by the Government for the development
sports facilities and academics under the said scheme in Chhattisgarh; and
(e) the details of the plans/schemes likely to be implemented by the
Government in future to provide better training and assistance to the
players of Chhattisgarh and other States?

(a) As on date, a total of 2808 Khelo India Athletes (KIAs) are being
provided training and assistance under the Khelo India Scheme.
(b) to (d) Under the component “Khelo India Centres & Sports Academies” of
Khelo India Scheme, the identified talents are given option to join the
accredited Khelo India academies and each Khelo India Athlete (KIA)
receives funding of up to ₹6.28 lakh per annum. This support includes
specialised training, access to world-class facilities, participation in
international competitions, and a monthly out-of-pocket allowance of
₹10,000. The details of KIAs under the Khelo India Scheme, across the

as OPA, are available in public domain on the dashboard of the Ministry at

Further, this Ministry has sanctioned 8 sports infrastructure projects,
