be pleased to state:-
(a) the total number of flights operated from Hindon Airport, Ghaziabad to various cities
during the last six months since the commencement of regional air services;
(b) the specific measures taken by the Government to address regulatory or infrastructural
challenges causing delays in commencement of air services from the said airport;
(c) whether the Government has assessed the economic and tourism-related benefits of flights
operating from Hindon Airport to cities in Uttar Pradesh;
(d) if so, the details thereof along with the estimated increase in tourist inflow or commercial
activities as a result thereof; and
(e) the details of the plans to strengthen flight schedules or infrastructure to accommodate
additional regional flights from Hindon Airport to cities in Uttar Pradesh considering the
operational constraint of sharing the runway with the Indian Air Force?

(a): The total number of aircraft movement during January to June, 2025 at Hindon Airport is
2806.
(b) to (e): The expansion and development of infrastructure at airports is a continuous
process and is undertaken by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and other Airport
Operators from time to time, depending on the availability of land, commercial viability,
socio-economic considerations, traffic demand and willingness of airlines to operate to/from
such airports. The completion of airport projects depend upon many factors such as land
acquisition, availability of mandatory clearances, financial closure, etc.
With the repeal of the Air Corporation Act in March 1994, Indian domestic aviation has been
deregulated. Airlines are free to induct capacity with any aircraft type and free to select
whatever markets and networks they wish to serve and operate. Hence, it is up to the airline
operators to consider the introduction or expansion of air services to/from any airport in the
country, depending upon their operational and commercial viability
