Parliament Question: Funds for health infrastructure project in Himachal Pradesh with assistance of JICA

ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SMT. ANUPRIYAPATEL) (a) & (b): The Government of Himachal Pradesh has proposed availing financial assistance from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for a state sector project titled “State-wide strengthening of healthcare facilities in Himachal Pradesh”. Out of the estimated total project cost of Rs. 1731.00 crores, Rs 1384.00 crores is proposed to be funded through JICA and the remaining amount will be contributed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. (c) & (d) The project aims tostrengthen the state-wide healthcarefacilities toprovide patient care services within the state. One of the components of the project is “Medical Colleges Hospital Upgradation andStrengthening”. *****
