**Summary:**
In response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 1565, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare addressed the provision of grants to small and marginal farmers in the Shravasti and Balrampur districts of Uttar Pradesh for agricultural equipment purchases. Over the last five years, a total of Rs. 8,19,06,199 has been allocated to these farmers for this purpose. Farmer Welfare Centres have been established in both districts to offer technical advice, training, and other assistance. These centres are located at Bhinga, Gilaula, Sirsiya, Jamunaha, and Ikauna in Shravasti district, and at Utaraula, Kauapur, and Tulsipur in Balrampur district. To date, 55,494 farmers have benefited from the services provided by these centres.

(a) the amount of grant provided to poor, small and marginal farmers in Shravasti and
Balrampur districts of Uttar Pradesh for the purchase of agricultural equipment in the last
five years;
(b) whether farmer welfare centres have been set up in said districts where they can
get technical advice, training and other assistance;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the number of farmers benefited from such centres in the above district so far?

(a) to (d): As per the information provided by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh,
the grants amounting to Rs. 8,19,06,199 have been provided to poor, small and marginal
farmers in Shravasti and Balrampur districts of Uttar Pradesh in the last five years for the
purchase of agricultural equipments. The Farmers Welfare Centres have also been
opened in Shravasti and Balrampur districts where technical advice, training and other
assistance is provided to the farmers. Such Centres are established at Bhinga, Gilaula,
Sirsiya, Jamunaha and Ikauna of Shravasti district and at Utaraula & Kauapur (Tulsipur)
of Balrampur district. The number of farmers so far benefitted from these centres are
55,494 numbers.
