**Policy Summary: IICA Regional Campus in Shillong**
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs established a regional campus of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) in Shillong, Meghalaya, under the PM DevINE Scheme. IICA Shillong has commenced activities in the NER, including:
* **IICA NER Conclave 2025:** A conclave held on July 11-12, 2025, at IICA Shillong, focused on the theme of "Ideation to Incorporation," featuring sessions on startup incorporation, regulatory guidance, incubation, and innovation models.
* **Capacity Building Program on GeM Procurement:** A program held from July 29-31, 2025, focused on "Navigating Procurement via GeM, Procurement Integration, Choices Strategic Options"

(a) the key objectives of establishing Indian Institute of Corporate
Affairs’s (IICA) regional campus in Shillong;
(b) the manner in which the Shillong campus will contribute to
national goals such as Ease of Doing Business and Atmanirbhar
Bharat;
(c) whether there is any specific domains of training and research
planned for this regional centre; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): The establishment of a regional campus of the Indian Institute of
Corporate Affairs (IICA) in Shillong, Meghalaya was approved under the PM-
DevINE Scheme with the main objective of fostering social development in
the region by advancing areas such as Environmental, Social, and
Governance (ESG) practices, skill enhancement, corporate governance in
the North Eastern Region (NER).
(c) & (d): To strengthen collaboration and support IICA Shillong’s objectives
in the North Eastern Region, Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were
signed between IICA and the following institutions
