Shri Rahul Kaswan: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Deendayal Upadhyaya-Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) is being implemented by the Government in the country, if so, the details thereof, State/district-wise including Rajasthan; (b) whether training is being provided to the youth in the rural areas of Churu and Hanumangarh districts under the said scheme and if so, the details thereof, if not, the reasons therefor; (c) the number and details of youths who have been provided training and the number of youths who have been employed after completing the training; and (d) whether any special education/other project has been launched for the said youths, if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI KAMLESH PASWAN) (a) to (c): Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU- GKY) is a placement-linked skill development program for rural poor youth in the age group of 15-35 years under the umbrella scheme of Deendayal Antyodaya National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). It empowers the rural poor youth with employable skills and facilitates their participation in regular labour markets, thus providing them with jobs having regular monthly wages at or above the minimum wages. DDU-GKY guideline provides social inclusion of SC/ST (50%), Women (33%), and PwDs (5%). The details of candidates trained and placed under the scheme since inception till January, 2026 are given in Annexure-I. Page 1 of 3The training is being provided in Churu and Hanumangarh Districts of Rajasthan also. (d): DDU-GKY allows courses approved by the National Skills Qualification Committee (NSQC), National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) which are listed on the National Qualifications Register (NQR) https://www.nqr.gov.in/ or the portal of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
