Will the Ministerof HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleasedtostate:
(a) whether the Government has conducted any study/survey regarding the
implementation of PM-ABHIMYojana inAndhra Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details regarding the list of Rural health and wellness centres proposed,
under construction and presently functional across Andhra Pradesh, especially in
Nellore district;
(c) the details regarding the list of public health units proposed, under construction and
presently functionalacross the said State,district-wise andinNellore district;
(d) the details regarding the list of integrated public health hospitals proposed, under
construction andpresently functionalacross the said State,district-wise andinNellore
District;
(e) the details regarding the list of critical care hospital blocks proposed, under
construction andpresently functionalacross the said State,district-wise andinNellore
District;
(f) the details regarding the expansion of the integrated health information portal system
andwhether allmedical institutions inthe said Stateare covered underthe same; and
(g) if so, the detailsthereofand if not,the reasons therefor?
ANSWER

(a)to(g): PradhanMantri- Ayushman Bharat HealthInfrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) is
a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) with some Central Sector Components (CS) which has
anoutlayof Rs. 64,180Crores for the scheme period (FY2021-22 toFY2025-26).
The scheme envisages a new generation of reforms to integrate and strengthen health service
delivery and public health action including health research so that the communities are
Atmanirbhar in managing such pandemics or health crisis. The measures under the scheme
are aimed at strengthening health systems and institutions in order to provide a continuum of
care at all levels, namely primary, secondary, and tertiary, as well as preparinghealth systemstorespond effectively tocurrent andfuture pandemicsanddisasters.
Under the CSS component of PM-ABHIM, administrative approvals have been accorded to
the State of Andhra Pradesh for a period of five years (FY 2021–22 to FY 2025–26) for an
amount of Rs. 1118.80 crore for the construction/strengthening of 696 Building-less Sub
Health Centre–Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (SHC-AAMs), 45 Urban Ayushman Arogya
Mandirs (U-AAMs)/Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs), 26 Integrated Public Health
Laboratories (IPHLs), and 24 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs), as per the proposal submitted by
the State Government. The district wise list of infrastructure approved underPM-ABHIM for
the Stateof Andhra Pradesh includingNellore district isat Annexure.
As informed bythe State, underthe Fifteenth Finance Commission (XV-FC) Health Grants, a
total of 436 Block Public Health Units (BPHUs) have been proposed across Andhra Pradesh,
of which 22 BPHUs have beensanctionedinSPSR Nellore district.
As informed by the State, all the medical institutions in the State are covered under the
Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP). This includes 19 Teaching Hospitals, 11
District Hospitals, 54 Area Hospitals, 171 Community Health Centres, 1162 Primary Health
Centres, 558 Urban Primary Health Centres, 14,999 Rural and Urban Health and Wellness
Centres, and1,778private institutions.
