(a) whether the Government is aware that the low-agricultural-production districts of
Tamil Nadu have been included under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana
(PM-DDKY) with the objective of enhancing productivity and improving farmers’ income;
(b) the details of the initiatives being undertaken under PM-DDKY in these districts,
including the integration of thirty six schemes from eleven Central Ministries for
comprehensive farmer support;
(c) whether the Government has set any targets for increasing crop yield, irrigation
coverage, and diversification in these districts; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps being taken to ensure effective convergence,
timely delivery of benefits, and measurable improvement in farmers’ livelihoods under PM-
DDKY in Tamil Nadu?

(a) to (d): 4 districts of Tamil Nadu viz., Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga
and Thoothukudi have been selected under Prime Minister Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana
(PMDDKY).
The Scheme aims to (1) enhance agricultural productivity, (2) increase adoption of
crop diversification and sustainable agricultural practices, (3) augment post-harvest storage
at the panchayat and block levels, (4) improve irrigation facilities, and (5) facilitate
