SHRI PATEL UMESHBHAI BABUBHAI: Will the Minister of TOURISM be pleased to state: (a) whether a Go-Karting zone was inaugurated by the Government on 30th March, 2025; (b) if so, whether the Government is aware that the place where Go-Karting zone has been inaugurated is a disputed site and the matter is pending in the Bombay High Court; (c) whether the said place was used by the fishermen to park their boats and they were forcefully removed from there; (d) if not, whether the Government has taken disciplinary action against the officials of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Administration for misleading in the matter intentionally which is contempt of Hon'ble High Court; and (e) if so, the details of the action taken thereon? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) (a) to (e): The development and promotion of tourism, including adventure tourism, enhancing safety and convenience at adventure tourism sites is primarily the responsibility of the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations. The following information has been received from UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu:- • Go-Karting zone in Daman was inaugurated on 31.03.2025. Go- Karting has been developed on government land which is notdisputed, and the matter pending before the Hon'ble Bombay High Court are:- ▪ WRIT Petition No.9850 of 2024 regarding the non-renewal of lease of govt. land admeasuring 700 Sq. Mtrs. to M/s. Matsya Udhyog Vividh Karyakari Sahkari Society Ltd., which is outside the Go-karting Zone. ▪ WRIT Petition No.17468 of 2024 is regarding relocation of fisherman boat from the govt. land. • The boats of fishermen near the Samudra Narayan Temple in Daman were relocated on 22.11.2024. This relocation was done at the Government's cost. These boats are supposed to be parked in future at the newly constructed boat parking at Samudra Narayan Jetty which is hardly 200 metres from the existing location and hence were relocated to Kadaiya Macchiwad, Daman (Also Government Land) temporarily. • Further, keeping in mind the welfare of the fishermen's community and to establish state-of the–art infrastructure, a project has been initiated at a cost of Rs.61.33 Crore namely, extension of Samudra Narayan Jetty up to Pedestrian Bridge and Development of Boat Parking at Nani Daman. Following facilities will be made available as part of the project:- (i) Boat parking (ii) Fisheries office (iii) Parking facilities (iv) Walkway (v) Diesel pump station (vi) Additional Jetty *******
