(a) the details of the schemes being implemented by the Union Government to
increase the income of mustard and bajra producing farmers;
(b) the extent to which the farmers of Rajasthan have benefited from these schemes;
(c) the assistance made available for the development of value addition, storage and
marketing infrastructure; and
(d) whether any special scheme is under consideration to promote agro-processing in
the Karauli-Dholpur region?

(a) & (b): The Government of India is implementing a comprehensive range of
Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes across the country, including
Rajasthan, aimed at increasing the income of farmers including those growing mustard
and bajra. These interventions aim to improve production & productivity, reducing
whole cultivation costs, mitigating production risks and enhancing farmers’ income.
Details at Annexure 1. The National Mission on Edible Oils-Oilseeds (NMEO-OS)
aims at enhancing domestic edible oil production including mustard & rapeseed to
achieve self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat) in edible oils. Under the Mission in
Rajasthan, an expenditure amounting to Rs. 74.90 crores has been incurred during
FY 2025-26.The Sub-Mission on Shree Anna under the National Food Security & Nutrition
Mission (NFSNM) is being implemented to increase the production and productivity of
millets, including Bajra, in the 28 States and 2 Union Territories, including Rajasthan.
Under the programme, assistance is provided for demonstration of improved
production and protection technologies, distribution of certified seeds, integrated
nutrient and pest management, and other interventions aimed at enhancing
productivity. Under the Mission in Rajasthan, an expenditure amounting to Rs. 127.53
crores has been incurred during FY 2025-26.
(c) & (d): The Government of India supports the development of agricultural value
addition, post-harvest management, storage and marketing infrastructure through
various schemes and programmes such as Agriculture Infrastructure Fund
(AIF), Integrated Scheme for Agricultural Marketing (ISAM), Mission for Integrated
Development of Horticulture (MIDH) etc. In addition, under the Pradhan Mantri
Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY), financial assistance is available to States
for undertaking State-specific projects aimed at strengthening agricultural value
chains, post-harvest management, processing, storage and market linkages, based
on local priorities and requirements.
Under AIF, loans worth ₹4,895.13 crore have been sanctioned for 6,544 projects
with a total project cost of ₹8,123.67 crore. In Karauli district, loans worth ₹14.39 crore
have been sanctioned for 20 projects with a total project cost of ₹25.19 crore. In
Dholpur district, loans worth ₹25.11 crore have been sanctioned for 25 projects with a
total project cost of ₹52.22 crore.
Under ISAM, 1,934 storage infrastructure projects of storage capacity of 39.53 lakh
MT have been assisted with subsidy release of Rs. 151.49 crore up to 30.06.2026. In
addition to storage infrastructure, 610 Marketing Infrastructure (other than storage)
projects have also been assisted with subsidy release of ₹ 106.94 crore. Karauli and
Dholpur district have 1 project each with a storage capacity of 5,000 MT each, for
which a subsidy of ₹37.50 lakh and ₹25.00 lakh has been released respectively.
No special scheme is under consideration for promotion of agro-processing in the
Karauli–Dholpur region.ANNEXURE I
