MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION
(Shri Murlidhar Mohol)
(a) to (c) : According to the IATA forecast released in December 2025, global air
passenger traffic is expected to reach around 5.2 billion in 2026, while the aviation
industry is projected to record net profits of USD 41 billion, corresponding to a net
margin of 3.9%.
Based on current assessments and growth trends, India's civil aviation sector is
expected to continue increasing its share in global passenger traffic and passenger
revenue, consistent with the country's expanding role in air transport.
