BACHHAV SHOBHA DINESH: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has taken cognizance of complaints regarding disbursement of Rs. 1,500 crore allocated in 2023-24 for 13 lakh farmers including farmers of Jalna whose crops were destroyed by hailstorms and floods and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether it is a fact that preliminary enquiry revealed block officers were suspected to have disbursed multiple payments to the same individuals and if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government has instituted an enquiry to review into the issue, if so, the details thereof including findings of the investigation and if not, the reasons therefor; (d) whether the Government has initiated any punitive action against those responsible and if so, the details thereof; and (e) the action taken to prevent reoccurrence of such incidents? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी (SHRI SHIVRAJ SINGH CHOUHAN) (a) to (e): A Statement is laid on the Table of the House.STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (e) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 376 REGARDING “IRREGULARITIES IN DISBURSEMENT OF COMPENSATION FOR CROP LOSS” DUE FOR REPLY ON 19TH AUGUST, 2025. (a): As per the information received from the State Government of Maharashtra, an amount of ₹580.90 crore was sanctioned as input subsidy/ assistance to Farmers (for 6.22 Lakhs beneficiaries) affected by heavy rainfall, floods, and hailstorms in Jalna district during the year 2023-24. Out of the sanctioned amount, 537.81 crore has been disbursed to 5.15 Lakhs beneficiaries. (b): A three-member inquiry committee was formed by Collector, Jalna. After investigating 2 talukas in Jalna district, committee submitted a preliminary report to the Collector, where, it was observed that the login credentials of the Tehsildar were misused. (c): The State Government of Maharashtra has directed the Divisional Commissioner, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division, to conduct investigation of all complaints in Jalna district. (d) & (e): On the basis of report submitted to the collector by the 3 member committee, headed by the Deputy Collector (EGS), 21 Gram Revenue officers (Talathis)/ Revenue Clerks have already been suspended and Departmental Enquiry has been initiated against 36 Gram Revenue officers (Talathis), 17 Gram Panchayat Officers (Gram sevak) and 2 Agriculture Assistants. *****
