(a) & (b): Under Special Package for Bihar 2015 beneficial schemes for farmers were
included. In order to promote farm mechanization, under Sub Mission on Agricultural
Mechanization (SMAM), Rs. 225.57 crores have been released. These funds were for
distribution of 39,535 units of agricultural machinery and setting up of 1879 custom hiring
centers or farm machinery banks.
Under Seed Project for strengthening of basic Infrastructure at government seed
multiplication farms, there was provision of seed storage godowns and threshing/drying
floors.
As informed by Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga
Rejuvenation, under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY)- Accelerated
Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), 02 projects namely Durgawati and Punpun Barrage
are under implementation. For these out of the balance eligible central assistance of
Rs.196.09 crore, Rs.110.24 crore has been released.
