Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of villages identified for providing drinking water supply through pipelines
under Phase-I, Phase-II and Phase-III under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Bareilly, Badaun,
Shahjahanpur districts and Aonla Lok Sabha Constituency of Uttar Pradesh;
(b) the number of villages where work has been commenced under Phase-I of the mission;
(c) the details of the villages in which the target of hundred per cent drinking water supply has
been achieved under Phase-I of the mission; and
(d) whether the executing agency has repaired the roads damaged after completion of pipeline-
laying works under Phase-I of the mission, if so, the details and the list of such villages thereof
and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) Drinking Water is a ‘State’ subject, and hence, under JJM, the responsibility of planning,
approval, implementation, operation & maintenance of drinking water supply schemes lies with
State/UT Governments. The Government of India supports the States by providing technical
and financial assistance. The Union Cabinet has approved extension of the Jal Jeevan Mission
(JJM), with an enhanced outlay and a restructured implementation framework focusing on
structural reforms in the rural drinking water supply sector under JJM 2.0.
State of Uttar Pradesh has informed that the total number of villages identified for providing
drinking water supply through pipelines under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Bareilly, Badaun,
Shahjahanpur districts and Aonla Lok Sabha Constituency of Uttar Pradesh are as follows:

(b) As informed by the State, the number of villages where work has been commenced under
JJM in districts Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Badaun and Aonla Lok Sabha Constituency are 1866,
2088, 1476 and 1302 respectively.
(c) The details of the villages in which the target of hundred percent drinking water supply has
been achieved under JJM, i.e. Har Ghar Jal Reported, are available in public domain and
accessible at https://ejalshakti.gov.in/jjmreport/JJMState.aspx
(d) The state has informed that in District Bareilly, 100 % road restoration has been completed
by the executing agencies in 1369 villages. In 435 villages, the dismantle road has been made
motorable. In remaining 62 villages, no road has been dismantled.
In District Budaun, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing agencies in
830 Villages. In 616 villages, the dismantle road has been made motorable and restoration work
is under progress. In remaining 30 villages, no road has been dismantled.
In District Shahjahanpur, 100 % road restoration has been completed by the executing agencies
in 1546 Villages. In 486 villages, the dismantle road has been made motorable and restoration
work is under progress. In remaining 56 villages, no road has been dismantled.
In Parliamentary constituency Aonla of District Bareilly, 100% road restoration has been
completed in 568 villages by the executing agencies and 181 villages, the dismantle road has
been made motorable and restoration work is under progress.
In Parliamentary constituency Aonla of district Badaun, 100% road restoration has been
completed in 277 villages by the executing agencies and 276 villages the dismantle road has
been made motorable and restoration work is under progress.
