SMT SULATA DEO Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION be pleased to state:- (a) whether Government has considered enhancing joint civil-defence aviation infrastructure in strategic coastal districts of the State of Odisha; and (b) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION (Shri Murlidhar Mohol) (a) & (b): To strengthen integrated civil-defence aviation infrastructure in Odisha, Amarda (Rasgovindpur) Airport, owned by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has been identified for the development and operation of Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) flights during the 4.2 round of bidding under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme. A total of Rs.45.00 Crores has been allocated for the development of the airport to support better access for tourism, emergency services and economic activities in both coastal and adjoining interior regions. ******
