(a) the details of the health facilities selected for Kayakalp incentives, State-wise anddistrict-
wise for Andhra Pradesh;
(b) the detailsof the amountof incentiveallocated anddisbursed under the said initiative over
the last five years, State-wise andyear-wise;
(c)thenumberofworkshops andtrainingsorganizedoverthe lastfive yearsunderthe scheme,
State-wise andyear-wise; and
(d) the detailsof the themes currentlyselectedunderthe Kayakalpscheme?
ANSWER

(a) State/UT-wise numberof health facilities selected for Kayakalpincentives is at Annexure-
I. As per Government of Andhra Pradesh, a total of 5323 health facilities have been selected
for Kayakalpcategory.District-wise detailsof health facilitiesare attachedasAnnexure-II.
(b) State/UT-wise details of State Programme Implementation Plan (SPIP) approvals and
expenditure for Kayakalp Activities under National Health Mission (NHM) for the financial
years2020-21 to2024-25 isat Annexure-III.
(c) Data related to workshops and trainings organized by various States/UTs are not
maintainedcentrally.
(d) Under the Kayakalp Scheme, the assessment is conducted across eight mandatory themes,
which have beenuniformlyapplied toalllevelsof healthcarefacilities. These themesare:
1. Hospital / Facility Upkeep
2. SanitationandHygiene
3. Waste Management
4. InfectionPrevention andControl
5. Hospital SupportServices
6. Hygiene Promotion
7. Cleanliness Beyond Hospital/Facility Boundary Wall
8. Eco-friendly Facility (applicable to District Hospital or equivalent and Community
HealthCentre only)
