Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is a fact that students from class I to XII are studying in Kendriya
Vidyalaya, CISF, Bhilai, in Durg Lok Sabha Constituency in the State of
Chhattisgarh, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the said school is presently being run in the building of the Central
Industrial Security Force (CISF) due to which the infrastructural development
of the school has not been possible and thus, the school is being operated in
a single shift with limited seating capacity for students in each class, if so, the
details thereof;
(c) whether any land has been identified/acquired for a new school building, if
so, the details thereof along with the time by which it is likely to be
constructed; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Proposals for opening of new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) may be
sponsored by Ministries or Departments of the Government of India/State
Governments/ Union Territories Administrations, with commitment to provide
requisite extent of suitable land, free of cost, for construction of the permanent
building and suitable rent-free temporary accommodation to run the Vidyalaya till
the permanent building is constructed.As per the information received from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS),
PM SHRI KV, Durg, situated in Durg Parliamentary Constituency of Chhattisgarh,
is functioning in the temporary building provided by the Central Industrial Security
Force (CISF) and is having classes from Balvatika-III to Class –XII. The Vidyalaya
is running in single shift and has sufficient infrastructure and seating capacity for
students in each class as per KVS norms/requirement.
(c) & (d) Construction of permanent buildings for KVs is a continuous process,
which depends upon identification of suitable land, completion of transfer / lease
formalities in favour of KVS by the sponsoring authorities, submission of drawings
/ estimates by construction agency, availability of funds and requisite approvals
etc. KVS has accepted land measuring 2.80 hectares (6.99 acres), identified by
the CISF, for construction of the permanent school building.
