Khelo India Youth Games, 2025
1333. Shri Sudama Prasad:
Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has undertaken any post-event assessment
of the Khelo India Youth Games, 2025 hosted in Bihar;
(b) if so, the details thereof, including the sports infrastructure created
or upgraded, district-wise for last five years and the current year;
(c) the total expenditure incurred by the Government for the event and
the amount released to the State Government of Bihar and expenditure
incurred sectionally; and
(d) the number of athletes from Bihar identified under the Khelo India
Talent Identification and Development Programme after the said Games?

(a) This Ministry has not undertaken any post-event assessment of the
Khelo India Youth Games, 2025 hosted in Bihar.
(b) The details of the sports infrastructure projects approved and their
sanctioned cost, funds released and their physical and financial
progress, under the Khelo India Scheme and National Sports
Development Funds (NSDF), across the country, including in State of
Bihar, are available in public domain on the dashboards of the Ministry at
https://mdsd.kheloindia.gov.in and http://www.nsdf.yas.gov.in/nsdf-
glance.html, respectively.
Page 1 of 2(c) Under the “Sports Competitions and Talent Development” component
of the Khelo India Scheme, this Ministry approved an amount of ₹ 44.18
crore for the conduct of Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2025. Out of
the total approved amount, ₹ 19.22 crore was allocated to the Host
State, Bihar, and has been utilized for the organization of the Games. As
per the details provided by the Host State (Bihar), the allocated amount
of ₹ 19.22 crore was utilized in the various games heads namely;
Ceremonies, Venue Operation, Host City Activation, Venue Overlays,
Sports Presentation, Spectator Engagement, State/University
Coordination, Venue Branding, Design Agency, Media Operations, ICT
Equipment, Invitations, Stationery, and Collaterals; Volunteers' Briefing
& Post Games Operations and Accreditation.
(d) Under the Khelo India Scheme, a total of 530 Athletes were identified
through the initiative of Khelo India Youth Games in Bihar.
Further, there are a total of 19 athletes in Khelo India Scheme from the
State of Bihar.
