On December 2nd, 2025, Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 303 was addressed to the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare regarding the potential opening of a Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in the Bagaha police district of Bihar, citing the large size of West Champaran district.
The Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Shri Bhagirath Choudhary) responded that 44 KVKs have already been established in Bihar. Two KVKs are currently functioning in West Champaran District. There is no proposal to open a new KVK in Bagaha police district, West Champaran.

Zone-IV, Patna has 44 KVKs. 32 districts have one KVK, including Munger, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Begusarai, Saharsa, Nalanda, Banka, Patna, Sheikhpura, Madhepura, Bhagalpur, Rohtas, Araria' Purnea, Katihar, Siwan, Jahanabad, Saran, Supaul, Sheohar, Aurangabad, Lakhisarai, Kishanganj, Gopalganj, Buxar, Bhojpur, Nawadah, Kaimur, Jamui, Khagaria, Sitamarhi, Arwal. 6 districts have two KVKs: Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Madhubani, East Champaran, West Champaran, and Gaya.

Bagaha police district of Bihar, as the West Champaran district is very large and it has
two police districts; and
