India has launched foreign and domestic satellites in the last 20 years. Between January 2004 and December 2013, 31 foreign satellites and 23 domestic satellites were launched. Between January 2014 and November 2025, 398 foreign satellites and 56 domestic satellites were launched. New Space India Limited (NSIL), a commercial arm of ISRO, was incorporated in 2019. The total revenue generated by NSIL through Launch Service from FY 2019-20 till FY 2024-25 is approximately INR 2572 Crore. Money spent by NSIL to generate the above revenue from Launch Service (From FY 2019-20 till FY 2024-25) is approximately INR 1985 Crore. The NSIL aims to sustain its share in the competitive global launch service market.
