2248 SMT.HARSIMRATKAUR BADAL:
Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFARE be pleased tostate:
(a) the details of maternal mortality rate in the country, State/UT-wise specifically district-
wise inPunjab;
(b) the details of funds allocated and utilized by the different States under the Janani
Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and the PradhanMantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) during the
last five years;
(c) the number of public healthcare centres or Anganwadi centres implementing the Janani
Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) in the
country, State/UT-wise;
(d) the number of institutional deliveries covered so far by these two schemes with specific
detailsof districts inPunjab; and
(e) the number of beneficiaries who registered themselves through the portal established
underthe PMMVY2.0inthe country, State-wise?

(SMT. ANUPRIYAPATEL)
(a): The Sample Registration System (SRS) released by the Registrar General of India (RGI)
provides Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) at the National and State level. As per the SRS
Special Bulletin on Maternal Mortality 2020-22, the MMR of the country is 88 per lakh live
births. The State-wise MMR, including Punjab,isplacedat Annexure I.
(b): The details of funds approved and utilized by the different States under the Janani
Suraksha Yojana (JSY) andthe statement of funds releasedandutilized underPradhanMantri
Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) during the last five years are placed at Annexure-II and
Annexure III respectively.(c): Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is implemented in all public health facilities conducting
institutional deliveries across the country. The State/UT-wise details of Anganwadi Centres
operationalinthe countryexceptthe Stateof Telangana, whichisnot implementingPMMVY,
isplace at Annexure IV.
(d): As per the information received from the State of Punjab, district wise number of
institutional deliveries coveredunderJanani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) isplacedatAnnexureV.
(e): The State/UT-wise number of beneficiaries enrolled under PMMVY across the country,
since the inceptionof the scheme isplacedat Annexure VI.
