Parliament Question: MEMU Trains between Islampur-Patna

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 5494 TO BE ANSWERED ON 25.03.2026 MEMU TRAINS BETWEEN ISLAMPUR-PATNA †5494. SHRI KAUSHALENDRA KUMAR: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that the first MEMU train (No. 03271) from Islampur to Patna under the Danapur Division departs at 6:30 a.m. and the subsequent train to Patna is available only after a long interval of 10 hours and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether it is also a fact that similarly the MEMU train (No. 03396) from Patna to Islampur is at 10:30 a.m. and the next MEMU is available after an interval of 10 hours at 8:30 p.m.; and (c) if so, the timeline by when an additional pair of MEMU trains is likely to be introduced between Islampur-Patna and Patna-Islampur for the convenience of the passengers?
