Kandhamal district in the State of Odisha, if so, the percentage of households covered by MMUs
asof July 2025;
(b) whether any progress has been achieved under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-
JAY)inenrollingBelowPovertyLine(BPL)familiesfromhillyblocksof Odisha, if so, the details
thereof,district-wise particularly Kandhamal;
(c) whether any immunisation drives targeting tribal children have been conducted inKandhamal
district since April 2025, if so, the details thereof, including the coverage rates for DPT-3 and
measlesvaccines; and
(d) whether any steps have been taken by the Government to upgrade Community Health Centre
(CHC) facilities in Phulbani town with critical care beds and oxygen plants, if so, the current
status of such upgradation?

(a) : As per information given by State Government of Odisha, a total of 17 Mobile Health
Units (MHU) are operational in the Kandhamal and 954 villages are covered by the Mobile
HealthUnit (MHU) inthe district covering 34.24% of households asonJuly,2025.
(b): As of 30thJune 2025, a totalof 3.46crore Ayushman cardshave beencreated inthe State of
Odisha under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). District-wise details of
Ayushman card creation, including data for hilly blocks of Odisha and Kandhamal district, are
providedinAnnexure.
(c): Universal immunization programme is implemented across State including Kandhamal
district and all eligible children including tribal children are administered vaccines as per
National Immunization Schedule. As per the information provided by the State Government, the
Pentavalent Vaccine 3rddose (which include DPT) coverage is 2084 (78%) during April to May
2025. The MR1 & MR2 vaccine (Which incudesMeasles Vaccine) coverage 2081 (78%) & 1978
(74%) respectivelyduring April toMay 2025.(d): The current status of Critical Care Beds and Oxygen Plants in Community Health Centres
(CHCs) of the blockPhulbaniinKandhamal isasunder:
(i) Community Health Centre, Gumagarh is a 30 bedded Non-First Referral Unit (FRU)
CHC, with 16 beds. Out of 16 beds, 9 beds are oxygen supported (Source: IPHS-ODK Toolkit
andstate reporteddata).
(ii) Oxygen Plant: Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants were installed including State of
Odisha. One such PSA plant at District Hospital-Kandhamal is catering also to Phulbani town
underKandhamal district.
