## National Career Service (NCS) Portal Update - Policy Summary
This document summarizes the current status and planned improvements for the National Career Service (NCS) portal, as of August 4, 2025, in response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 2409.
The NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in) serves as a centralized platform providing career-related services, including job information from both private and government sectors, details on online/offline job fairs, job matching, career counseling, vocational guidance, and information on skill development courses and employability enhancement programs. Continuous improvements and updates are implemented based on evolving needs and leveraging the latest technologies. Recent updates include AI-based resume building, vacancy/resume sharing capabilities, a feedback mechanism, a robust verification system, and multilingual support.
The NCS portal offers online and offline career counseling and vocational guidance, including services for SC/ST candidates. Over 1182 career counselors are onboarded, and more than 41 lakh career guidance sessions have been conducted to date.
To enhance employment opportunities through public-private partnerships, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has signed over 25 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with organizations such as TCS iON, Quikr, FoundIt Monster, APNA, Swiggy, Rapido, Amazon, and Cygnus Ujala Group of Hospitals. These MoUs aim to integrate job listings, provide skill development programs, and offer additional career counseling services on the NCS portal.
As of July 10, 2025, over 48 lakh employers have registered on the NCS portal. Year-wise details on employer onboarding are available at https://www.ncs.gov.in/layouts/15/ncspViewStaticReport.aspx.
The NCS portal utilizes advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and metadata, to effectively match job demand and supply. The government is contemplating launching NCS 2.0, with further details to be announced.

2409. SHRI VIJAY BAGHEL:
Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has updated the National Career Service (NCS)
portal to make it more user friendly and accessible to job aspiring
candidates;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the list of all such updations;
(c) the number of job aspiring candidates received career counselling and
guidance through NCS portal along with the status with regard to SC/ST
candidates, year and skill-wise;
(d) the details of the number of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed
between private and public partners for bringing improvements in service
offering of NCS;
(e) the details of progress of employers onboard at NCS portal since its
launch, year-wise;
(f) whether the NCS portal make use of the advance technologies, Artificial
Intelligence and Meta data to effectively match the demand and supply of
jobs; and
(g) whether the Government is contemplating to launch NCS 2.0 and if so,
the details thereof?

(a) to (g): National Career Service (NCS) Portal is a one-stop solution for
providing career related services including information on jobs from private
and government sectors, information on online & offline job fairs, job search
& matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill
development courses, employability enhancement programmes etc. through
a digital platform [www.ncs.gov.in].Improvements in the portal is a continuous and dynamic process.
Changes/updations are planned as per the need of the hour using latest
available technology as and when required. The updations of NCS portal
includes features like AI-based resume building, sharing of
vacancies/resume, feedback mechanism, robust verification mechanism,
multilingual support etc.
NCS Portal provides online/offline career counselling and vocational
guidance services to its registered users including SC/ST candidates. More
than 1182 Career Counsellors have been on boarded on NCS portal. Till date
more than 41 lakh online/ offline career guidance sessions have been
conducted.
Signing MoUs with the private and public employers/ portals/Platforms is part
of the Ministry’s strategy to strengthen public-private partnerships for
enhancing employment opportunities. Till date more than 25 Memorandums

(Monster), APNA, Swiggy, Rapido, Amazon, Cygnus Ujala Group of Hospitals
etc., have been signed to enhance service offerings on the NCS portal, such
